Individual Retirement Accounts

Traditional IRAs

This tax-deferred personal retirement plan was made more attractive by the Taxpayer Relief Act, enabling more people to deduct contributions and allowing certain penalty-free withdrawals.

Roth IRAs

The Roth IRA is a safe and easy way to plan for the future with potential for tax-free withdrawals. Although contributions to a Roth IRA are not tax-deductible, in some circumstances withdrawals may be tax-free and penalty-free.

Coverdell Education Savings Accounts

These accounts are a smart way to save for a child's higher education. As a parent or other interested person, you may be able to establish an account for a child under the age of 18. Although non-deductible, you can contribute up to $2,000 per child per year. Withdrawals are tax-free and penalty-free in some circumstances.
